Beautiful day. Flat seas and lots of sun. But we could not find significant hungry fish. Marked tons of baitfish in 16 to 27 FOW, but couldn't get bit. Pulled lines and headed out to 65 FOW. Lots of other boats around us there. We picked up one Coho on a downrigger down 20' on an orange dodger - aqua coho fly. Trolled out to 110 FOW. Marked several fish near the bottom in 102 to 103, but couldn't get them to bite. Picked up a Lake Trout on a slide diver with a Pro King spoon out 58' on a 3 setting. Started pulling lines to head in and realized we had been dragging a shaker on the other downrigger. I think dragging the shaker was why we weren't getting bit. You can be sure I will be checking lines and changing lures more often in the future. Finished 3 for 3. At the fish cleaning station, everyone else had significantly more fish than we did. Hopefully they will share their good fortune with the rest of us.
